Emerald Christian University operates as a nonpublic religious postsecondary institution under §1005.06(1)(f), Florida Statutes. Qualifying institutions under this provision are outside the jurisdiction or purview of the Florida Commission for Independent Education and are not required to obtain institutional licensure from the Commission.
Yes, Emerald’s current diploma programs are tuition-free. Emerald charges only a $95 application fee, a $79 technology fee for each of eight courses, and a $159 graduation fee, for a currently listed total program cost of $886.
Emerald’s current academic materials describe intensive courses as one-month courses. Students should review the applicable enrollment and course-completion policy at the time of registration.
Current policy allows up to 18 transfer credits into a 24-credit Diploma program, generally for courses completed with a grade of C- or higher, subject to institutional evaluation and program applicability.
Current policies describe limited life-experience credit and Experiential Learning Course Exams where appropriate. Eligibility, documentation, limits, and course applicability are determined by Emerald.
